Message from JSSS

Hi! It's JSSS, ​ My debut album 'Lovebook' is FINALLY out now EVERYWHERE!! I am so happy that it is finally out, as I have had the album done since January of THIS Year, and have been trying to hold back oon sharing TOO many snippets, and/or leaking too much from the album. This album IS very personal to me, as it does share different things i've had to go through, so i thought i would share them here. ​ 1. I WANT UR LUV This song is about how I felt before getting into the relationship the album is about. I wanted to tell the other person, but was afraid of rejection. The whole song, surprisingly, started from an unreleased gaga song (Though sounds NOTHING like it) and I had this line written down since 2017 on my old phone, "please just don't hurt me, i am begging you" and I decided to build off of that. the single version of the song was still a demo, and needed a modification, which is why i reccomend you listen to the album version. ​ 2. SHOW ​ This song was actually a freestyle song, had no meaning really, and I had the instrumental done since 2019, but re-worked it as it was......terriable. ​ 3. LOVEBOOK ​ I actually still have this song saved as "THE ALBUM" in my computer, but it was always going to be the title track, it Just had to. the song is taking a turn into the heartbreak of the album, and mentions names like "Jenny" and "Matsume", which are actually real people, I just chose to use their nicknames. The song is about not caring after a relationship, and expecting it to happen, so the person keeps a "Lovebook", which was more of a indirect metaphor for feelings, and your mind. But this song will be featured in an upcoming project.....maybe september.... ​ 4. Airships ​ UGH!! MY FAVOURITE!! This song was actually the LAST song to be finished off of the album, only because i couldn't find the right wording (though it really never came out right...."how hard you make me feel") but this song is the most popular, and was the most claimed song off the album before release, which is so shocking because, YOU HAVEN'T HEARD IT!!! But I am SO GLAD that everyone liked it ​ 5. Love + Hope ​ This song was more about the realization of 'Do I really wanna stay with this person, or is this me clinging onto the relationship that isnt working', and this feeling hit me like a dart. I wrote this song in early 2019 - Early 2020. This song was intended to have a snippet of one my first unreleased songs "I don't fit in but that's fine", but I scrapped it as it didn't really fit and was garbage, but I still have that version saved on my computer ​ 6. GFY IDC ​ This song was an angry freestyle. This was recorded in the worst of my anger after my relationship ended, where i was mad at my ex, mad at my friends, mad at the world. And so i decided to take it all out in this song, which people seemed to LOVEEEE!! I am SO GLAD people loved this song, and SHOW, both I thought people were gonna let flop. ​ 7. Monopoly (Ft. Nadia Holt) ​ This song was written back-to-back with 'Final Goodbye' , and kinda dives more into the toxic relationship I was in. It wasn't good for my mental health, and....yeah it just goes more into the relationship ​ 8. Final Goodbye (Ft. KJ) + Final Goodbye (Solo Version) ​ The feature with KJ was taken down due to his past, and I didn't wanna be affiliated with that. But I loved the song so much, that I decided to release the solo version. The song was written after I had cut the toxic motherfucker off. It was the right thing to do, and in the moment of writing the song it was a way of venting, but it took multiple writing sessions to finish because I would break down, thinking back on all the good times with that person ​ 9. Better off without him ​ This was a good closing song, and is written in the perspective of me helping someone else. I love this song with all my heart, because it is something I needed to hear when dealing with the hardest part of the breakup. "enough with the toxic assholes, who only want to hurt you" is the line I want YOU to take out of that song. Get rid of them, throw them away. ​ This album has been in the works for 4 years now. 4!! I love it so much, and can't wait to see where it goes in the world!!
